Jimmy Adamson's decision to take off Duncan McKenzie proves to be extremely unpopular as Manchester United win at Elland Road. The visitors dominate the midfield and go in front after half an hour when Steve Coppell's shot is pushed out by Dave Stewart but Sammy Mcllroy knocks in the loose ball. Mcllroy doubles the lead just after half time when his long range shot is fluffed by Stewart and the ball goes in off the post. Paul Reaney goes close before Allan Clarke gives Leeds hope with a late consolation goal from a Paul Madeley cross.
