Leeds' woes in front of goal continue as Southampton win comfortably at Elland Road. Mick Channon races on to an Ivan Golac through ball to open the scoring before two John Lukic errors end any hopes of a Leeds comeback. First he is beaten too easily by a Nick Holmes 25 yard strike and then he catches a cross from Holmes only to let the ball slip from his grasp and into the net. Arthur Graham, Brian Flynn and Jeff Chandler work tirelessly but the home sde hardly threaten.
