Arthur Graham and Aidan Butterworth go close to increasing the lead before visiting defender Glen Skivington is shown a red card for a foul on Frank Worthington. However, Derby level when Mike Brolly lobs John Lukic and Kevin Wilson sees an effort ruled out for a foul on the Leeds goalkeeper. The home side take the lead with 11 minutes left when Graham's cross is headed down by Paul Hart for Worthington to prod the ball home.
