Tony Cascarino scores a hat-trick and is denied on several occassions by Mervyn Day. After a goalless first half, Gary Williams brings down Jimmy Carter in the area and five minutes later Jack Ashurst uses his hands to stop a cross inside the box. On both occassions, Cascarino scores from the spot and completes his treble when he smashes the ball home after Alan McLeary's effort is blocked on the line. Leeds are handed a temporary lifeline at 2-0 down when McLeary heads a Glynn Snodin cross past his own keeper.
